Privacy and Data Protection

The protection of your personal data is an important concern for us. In this document (« Privacy Policy ») that applies the Platform, we explain how we gather your personal data, what we do with it, the purposes for which and the legal basis under which this occurs, and your rights and entitlements associated with this.

Collecting and processing of your personal data

Thuasne is responsible for processing the personal information you have provided during the creation of a user account to use the Platform in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)

 

The data has been collected for user account management  and platform usage statistics purposes. The information has been made anonymous before being processed.

 

In order to create an account, you will be asked to provide a certain amount of information. Some of this information is required to create an account. If a User refuses to provide said information,Thuasne retains the right to not create the account.

You are informed whether providing certain information is mandatory or optional. The collection of certain information cannot be carried out with the express consent of the User.

The mandatory data collected via the forms appearing in the Platform is marked with an asterisk. In the absence of a response or if the provided information is erroneous, the account cannot be created.

Collected personal data will: 

·        Data that you provide during the creation of your account : Companyn, Thuasne Customer Number, Job Title are optional

·        The data provided by you related to the plateform's tracking features

The personal data collected can also be managed by THUASNE with the purpose of sending institutional or promotional information provided that your express consent is given.

Security

Thuasne employ technical and organisational security measures to protect the data supplied by you against manipulation, loss, destruction and against access by unauthorised persons. We continuously improve our security measures to reflect the latest technological developments.

Legal basis for processing

If you have consented to the processing of your personal data, this consent represents the legal basis for the processing of such data (Art 6 (1)(a) ,GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

If the processing of your personal data is required to meet our legal obligations (e.g. on data retention), we are authorised to do so as per Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

In addition, we process personal data for the purposes of safeguarding our rightful interests as well as the rightful interests of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Such rightful interests are maintaining the functioning of our IT systems, but also marketing our own and third-party products and services as well as the legally prudent documentation of business contacts.

Deletion of your personal data

We will delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which we have collected and processed the data ceases to exist. We review inactive account once every quarter and delete the one without no activity at all for the past 6 months. 

Beyond this time, storage will only take place if required by the laws, regulations or other legal provisions of the European Union or a member state of the European Union to which we are subject.

Rights of data subjects

As the data subject of the data processing, you have the right of information (Art. 15 GDPR), correction (Art. 16 GDPR), data deletion (Art. 17 GDPR), limitation of the processing of data (Art. 18 GDPR) as well as data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If you consented to the processing of your personal data by us, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The legality of the processing of your personal data until a withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal. Further processing of these data due to a different legal basis, for example to fulfil legal obligations (See "Legal basis of the processing"), also remains unaffected.

You have the right for reasons arising from your special situation to object at any time to the processing of your personal data due to Art. 6 1(e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or Art. 6 1(f) GDPR (data processing based on a weighing of interests). If you object, we will only continue processing your personal data insofar as we are able to prove compelling justified reasons that outweigh your interests, rights and liberties, or if the processing serves the assertion, exercising or defense of legal claims.

Should you believe that the processing of your personal data violates legal provisions, you have the right to fill a complaint with a competent data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
